The School of the Arts (SOTA) is set up by the Ministry of Information, Communications and the Arts. SOTA is Singapore’s first national pre-tertiary specialised arts school. For youths aged 13 - 18 who have an interest and talent in the visual and performing arts, SOTA offers a dedicated development path, providing them with a new teaching and learning environment where both their artistic and academic potential can best be realised.

Teaching Faculty

For the following areas:

  • Chemistry
  • Experiential Education
  • Humanities (History)
  • Mathematics
  • Academic Music Studies
  • Dance (Choreography, Modern Dance and Dance Theory)
  • Theatre
  • Visual Arts

Apart from imparting knowledge and skills to students, you will assist the Head of Faculty in developing the SOTA curriculum leading to the International Baccalaureate Diploma in your respective discipline. You will also have to take on the role of mentor and coach in creating a challenging and creative learning environment for the students.

Applicants should:

  • Have at least an honours degree or professional qualification in the chosen discipline
  • Have a strong commitment to and passion for the arts and education
  • Have a broad and thorough knowledge of the teaching subject
  • Have at least 3 to 5 years of teaching experience at pre-tertiary levels
  • Be self-motivated and innovative
  • Have the ability to work in multi-disciplinary teams
  • Exposure to or knowledge of the International Baccalaureate Diploma programme is an added advantage
