

Simon received his B. Sc. (Honours) in Applied Mathematics from the National University of Singapore and Diploma In Education (Merit) from the National Institute of Education (Singapore).
Simon has taught in Jurong Junior College and has held numerous appointments throughout his 8 years in the college, culminating towards being the Head of the Mathematics Department and subsequently the Vice-Principal (Education). While Simon has considerable experience in both academic and management positions, Simon’s passion lies in student development. Simon has developed a number of experiential learning programmes that impacted countless students both at a national and international level in numerous platforms such as the annual Asian Young Leaders Convention.
Simon has given consultancy to schools in China and Indonesia on student character development and helped design and conduct experiential learning programmes in the area of student development.
Though a mathematician by training, Simon has a keen interest in architectural and furniture design. He spends his free time poring through books on design and appreciating the artistic beauty in architectural works. Simon is radical, creative and innovative. He has volunteered for Movement for the Intellectually Disabled of Singapore (MINDs) and is an avid backpacker and a marathon runner.
