Mori Toshiyuki received his Bachelor of Social Science with honors from the National University of Singapore (NUS) in 2011, majoring in Sociology and Japanese Studies. Being a facilitator at the first SOTA Talent Academy in 2006 and 2007, a mentor at the inaugural year-one camp in 2008, and relief teaching at SOTA in 2008 and 2009, Toshi has cultivated passionate ties with SOTA and affection for its students, since the school's establishment.

With a love for music and especially singing, Mori Toshiyuki has dabbled with the piano, and been a dedicated chorister during his school days. He proceeded on to be an artiste with the Vocal Ensemble in the Music and Drama Company of the Singapore Armed Forces from 2005-2006. Toshi also continues his love for singing, with the Anglo-Chinese Junior College Alumni Choir since graduating in 2004, and has participated in international competitions and festivals in Wales, U.K., the Czech Republic, Slovakia and Finland.
