Eugene Ong graduated from the National University of Singapore with a honours degree in Arts majoring in English Literature and Political Science. He also went on to pursue a Masters in Literatures of Conflict at the University of York in the United Kingdom.
Prior to joining SOTA, Eugene taught Literature and the Humanities at Anglican High School for three years, where he was active not only in developing the Literature syllabus, but also heading the Scouts.
Eugene has a keen interest in photography and poetry and is writing his first book on the appreciation of poetry to young adults. He believes that the literary arts and creative writing should be nurtured from a young age at SOTA.
