
Tessa Cha graduated with a Bachelor of Science (majoring in Mathematics) from Murdoch University, Western Australia and a Diploma in Education (with credits) from the National Institute of Education, Nanyang Technological University, Singapore.
Tessa began her career in education as a lecturer in Engineering Mathematics at Nanyang Polytechnic, Singapore in 1999, thereafter in Temasek Polytechnic, Singapore in 2002. Besides lecturing, she assumed the role of Student Club advisor for Rubik’s Cube and Engineering Student club that had initiated polytechnic-wide activities such as Rubik Cube and Sudoku Challenge, Astronomy Learning, Mathematics Puzzles and Mind Games. She was also appointed the Chairperson for Polytechnic Freshmen’s Orientation where she spearheaded training camps that served to stimulate school spirit, team-building and ethos among freshmen and seniors.
A highly active lady, Tessa enjoys the adrenaline rush in activities such as dancing, running and kick-boxing. Extensive overseas travel provided her with golden opportunities to witness famous architectures, sculptures, fine art works and museums around the world. She sees Mathematics in the beauty of nature, and believes in harvesting enthusiasm and interest in Mathematics learning that is beyond the school texts.
