
Maslinda Bt Muhamed Ali earned her Bachelor of Arts (Education) degree from Nanyang Technological University (NTU) in 2003. She graduated with Second Upper Class Honours and was one of the top three students from her cohort. In 2006, Maslinda received her Master of Education (with honours) from University of Western Australia (UWA). During her time in Perth, Maslinda stayed at St Catherine’s College and made it to the college Dean’s List.
Prior to joining SOTA, Maslinda taught for eight years at Zhonghua Secondary School and held various coordinator positions, namely in the Mother Tongue and Student Development department.
As a Malay language coordinator, Maslinda ensured the smooth running of all programmes and activities that was under her charge. These included Malay Special Programme (MSP) and Malay Conversational Course. She was also appointed teacher mentor to new Malay language teachers and has done professional sharing at cluster level. Maslinda is also a trained teacher counsellor and CARE officer.
Maslinda appreciates social and cultural diversity. In her free time, Maslinda loves to read and travel. It is through her reading and embarking on travel journeys that she has forged firm friendships overseas.
