About AEF

Organised by the School of the Arts Singapore (SOTA) and supported by the Singapore National Commission for UNESCO, the Arts in Education Forum (AEF) aims to deepen understanding of the importance of arts education and build capacities in pedagogy for the twenty-first century. AEF brings together a community of practice in the area of arts education and is a platform for the sharing of expertise and best practices.

In line with the aims of the forum, AEF 2010 will focus primarily on:

  1. Education in the world today – literacies and competencies for the innovation and conceptual age;
  2. Relevance of the Arts in education – developing and harnessing dispositions and attitudes for the innovation and conceptual age;
  3. The Educator – Arts in education in the classroom.

AEF 2010 hopes to engage participants with great thinkers and practitioners, to make an impact and influence in the traditional spheres of education.

Registered participation in the forum is by exclusive invitation only. For enquiries, please email aef@sota.edu.sg.
