Taiwan-born Liu Wen-Chun received her Master of Fine Arts in Dance from
State University of New York Purchase College with the coveted MFA
Performance Award. As a performer, she has worked with various local
and international choreographers including Gillian Tan (Singapore), Lim
Fei Shen (Singapore), Kevin Wynn (USA), Roh Hyun Sik (Korea),
Teresa Ranieri (Italy) and Zvi Gothenier (Israel). She has danced with
companies including RAW Moves (Singapore), Dance Ensemble
Singapore (Singapore), Olive Prince Dance (USA), Kun-Yang Lin/
Dancers (USA) and Taipei Royal Ballet (Taiwan).
As a choreographer, Wen-Chun’s works have been featured in M1
Contact Contemporary Dance Festival in both 2014 and 2018, American Dance
Festival, and Johor Bahru Contemporary Dance Festival. She has
choreographed for companies and institutes in Southeast Asia, namely
Horizon Dance Troupe (Singapore), Lee Wushu Arts (Malaysia), and
Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts (Singapore). She was awarded ‘The
Most Promising Work’ for her choreography in Sprouts 6 th Edition, a
choreography competition in Singapore.
As an educator, Wen-Chun has taught at Nanyang Academy of Fine
Arts. She is also a certified vinyasa yoga teacher.
