Nicholas Lin has an avid passion for music and art. His area of expertise lies in his role as a percussionist, well-versed in Latin and Afro-Cuban instruments and rhythms. As a musician, he has performed extensively with different bands in venues such as the Victoria Concert Hall, The American Club, Mediacorp, Chijmes, Cuba Libre, Harry’s @ Boat Quay, and VivoCity, to name a few. He has travelled to perform in places such as Korea, Germany, New York, Indonesia, Malaysia, Vietnam and China, composing and performing for events and corporate clients. He is also a registered AMIS instructor under the Ministry of Education’s Art and Music Instructors Scheme (AMIS) (Music).

As an accompanist, Nicholas has played for the Singapore Ballet Academy (SBA), the Singapore Dance Theatre (SDT), and is currently working with the School Of The Arts, Singapore (SOTA), Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts (NAFA), and LASALLE College of the Arts. He has also accompanied for various contemporary dance masterclasses, working with foreign guest artists such as Larry Clark from Purchase College – State University of New York, and local artists.

As a percussion instructor, Nicholas works with children and youth with special needs, and also teaches percussion in a kindergarten and in primary schools.

Nicholas is also an entrepreneur. He is one of two founding directors of Latin Beats Production Pte. Ltd, a company that conducts programmes endorsed by the National Arts Council (NAC) under the “Arts Enrichment Programme” Scheme. The company conducts percussion workshops and assembly programmes for educational institutions in Singapore. He also co-founded Quid Limited Liability Partnership, a company which conceptualises, and manufactures products for use in the health and travel industry.
