The Venue Sales Executive will embark on various strategies to achieve venue sales targets. A personable, detailed-oriented, dynamic and adaptable individual who meets deadlines and has strong documentation skills is likely to succeed in this versatile and challenging role.

  • Oversee all SOTA's venue bookings and establish good rapport with relevant faculties and external hirers on their bookings
  • Manage public relations and customer relationships, and provide for the needs of hirers and lessees to be met while adhering to SOTA's prevailing policies and procedures
  • Embark on and implement business development strategies to clinch potential hirers
  • Handle hotline, email booking enquiries regarding venue specifications, capabilities of all performing arts venue, coordinate site visits and meetings, consolidate the necessary documentation and information for the events
  • Utilise the booking system (EBMS) to:
    • Update venue bookings quickly and precisely for accurate dissemination of information
    • Generate and prepare quotations for venue rental
    • Prepare venue booking contracts and closing of account
    • Generate monthly or quarterly reports for strategic purposes
  • Reconcile ticket sales report from hirers’ appointed ticketing agents before confirming the final billing with Office of Finance
  • Engage in cross-functions in managing event, retail, advertising spaces, venue and production operations, project management
  • Support school-wide events and key activities
  • Adhere to SOTA’s prevailing policies and procedures
  • Any ad-hoc duties as required by Reporting Officer, Management or the Organisation

  • Diploma and above; Degree preferred
  • Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in sales and/or customer relationship management
  • Experience in the arts and entertainment industry and/or events management environment will be preferred
  • Familiar with policies and procedures for performing arts venues, retail lease management will be an added advantage
  • Excellent customer relationship management, communication, and interpersonal skills, including organisational and report writing skills
  • Possess positive and motivated personality with good initiative, and pro-active with a high level of commitment to meet deadlines
  • Strong team player, meticulous, analytical and resourceful with the ability to work independently
  • Able to multi-task and perform in a fast-paced environment and handle complex situations calmly and professionally
  • Plenty of initiative and enthusiasm and strong passion for the arts and the nurturing of youth within the arts education industry
  • May be required to work on weekends and/or Public Holidays
