Singapore Biennale 2016 Emerging Art Writer Competition is a new initiative, jointly organised by ArtsEquator and Singapore Section, International Association of Art Critics (AICA SG). Of the 19 proposals submitted, four finalists were selected by the jury, and were commissioned to write a 3,000-word essay based on their proposal. Marcus was one of the four finalists, and was eventually selected as the winner.
