Congratulations to Class of 2012 Visual Arts alumna Rachael Cheong who graduated from the Royal Academy of Art The Hague (KABK), with a Bachelor in Textile and Fashion! With her graduating collection, Rachael won the Departmental Award as the most outstanding graduate in her programme, and the Academy Graduate Award as the top student of Bachelor programmes across the different faculties. 

This is what the Jury said of her collection: 
'Inconceivable but truly fascinating. Witnessing your collection is an unforgettable and touching experience, that leaves your audience somehow uncomfortable but certainly not indifferent at all. Congratulations, Rachael, you have accomplished your studies in a most remarkable way. It was our pleasure to have you with us and we look forward to witness your future projects.'

For winning the awards, Rachael was nominated to represent KABK to showcase her collection at Lichting 2017, where the best graduate fashion students from Dutch academies present their collections in one show during Amsterdam Fashion Week.
