BMI Student Composer Awards
Koh Cheng Jin (Class of 2014, Music) was one of the seven winners in the 2022 70th annual BMI Student Composer Awards, a prestigious competition that celebrates the work of young emerging composers. She was also awarded the William Schuman Prize for the most outstanding score. Cheng Jin is currently pursuing her music studies at New York University.

Singapore Armed Forces (SAF) Merit Scholarship
Leong Su Yean (Class of 2019, Theatre) received the Singapore Armed Forces (SAF) Merit Scholarship in recognition for his academic achievements and dynamic leadership qualities. He was invited to the 2022 Defence Scholarship Awards Ceremony held at The Istana in July. Su Yean is currently furthering his studies at Cornell University, majoring in computer science.

Singapore-Industry Scholarship
Megan Lim En (Class of 2017, Film) received the Singapore-Industry Scholarship (SgIS) at the awards ceremony held in August 2022. Megan was recognised for her academic performance, co-curricular activities record, and her passion to contribute to Singapore’s strategic sectors. During her time at SOTA, Megan displayed artistic and academic excellence as well as outstanding leadership qualities, and was awarded the Dr Lee Boon Yang Student of the Year Award from 2012 to 2016. She is now completing her studies at the Nanyang Technological University, School of Art, Design and Media.

Singapore Land Authority (SLA) Scholarship
Bernissa Yeo (Class of 2021, Theatre) and Rebecca Koh (Class of 2021, Visual Arts) were awarded the Singapore Land Authority (SLA) Scholarship in August. They were recognised for their outstanding academic achievements, active participation in co-curricular activities, and strong leadership qualities. Both alumni will further their studies in University College London (UCL), where Bernissa will major in Geography and Rebecca will major in Urban Planning, Design and Management in the Bartlett School of Planning.
