Under the gaze of beasts

Visual Arts faculty Kerry Jameson's work, Alchemy, was displayed at the Marsden Woo Gallery, London, as part of the summer exhibition this year. Freelance curator, Charlotte Dew, wrote a review of the collection, titled "Under the gaze of beasts", on international art magazine, Ceramic Review (Issue 282, Nov/Dec 2016). Dew described Alchemy as "an assembly of 'beasts', who looked out through painted eyes of pebbles, shells and bottle-tops, applied to ceramic forms." Dew reviewed the collection as one that "offered pause to ponder the world we have and are creating, and her [Kerry's] provocations were uncomfortable" and "the experience of being in their [the beasts] presence was both unsettling and stimulating".
