In Mr Jason Lim's latest solo exhibition, Contemplate, the SOTA Visual Arts faculty member demonstrates his skills in utilising an array of materials including clay, stainless steel, and asphalt to give life to strangely shaped objects such as pores, holes and oddly moulded forms. To the renowned Singaporean ceramist and performance artist, rocks and stones carry the ideas of stability, permanence and eternity – with rock formations symbolising the passage of time, a record of history.
