Earlier this year, Dance student Deborah Loh was featured in Her World magazine. The article was part of Her World's #HerWorldHerStory campaign, a collection of 60 real-life stories of inspiring women.

Described as a "rising ballet star", the article exemplified Deborah's tenacity to be a dancer. The Year 5 student shared that she felt like quitting ballet when she missed a few steps during the last 10 seconds of her performance at the 2017 Asian Grand Prix, feeling that she had failed herself and her teachers. But she learnt to recover from her mistakes and moved on.

Deborah is looking forward to training at the National Theatre Ballet School in Melbourne when she graduates from SOTA, on a scholarship which was part of the International Ballet Grand Prix Singapore prize that she won. She also mentioned that she remains very proud of a piece that she choreographed at SOTA last August, that it was "such a fulfilling experience that I’ll never forget it".
