We caught up with Class of 2019 Visual Arts alumna Tan Shao Qi and her mother, Ms Jaslin Poh, to find out how they felt exhibiting together for the first time and organising the exhibition during the pandemic.

We caught up with Class of 2014 Visual Arts alumnus Yanni Chia to find out what he is doing after graduating from SOTA and his artistic inspiration behind the collage artworks on his Instagram feed.

Leonie Koh (Theatre, 2015) fell in love with voice acting since she was 14 years old. She pursued her passion after SOTA and was recently selected to play the main character of upcoming game, Chinatown Detective Agency. Leonie shares more about her love for voice acting with us.

In a partnership with Checkpoint Theatre this year, three Year 5 Theatre IBCP students, Arielle Jasmine Van Zuijlen, Clarissa Liaw, and Phone Myat San, participated in an internship programme where they had the opportunity to be part of the production crew of Eat Duck. Theatre students and alumni Sim Shann (Year 2), Adam Michael Scott Wee Ann (Year 5), Chaney Chia (2015), and Victoria Chen (2012) were cast in this production as well.

We chatted with Theatre alumnus Chaney Chia (2015), who had benefitted from the SOTA bursary programme when he was studying in SOTA.

In the flash of an eye, it has already been more than three months since our Principal, Mrs Mary Seah, joined the SOTA community. We speak with her to find out her thoughts about life at SOTA!

On 14 December 2018, which was her last day at SOTA, we sat down with our Principal of six years, Ms Lim Geok Cheng. Wearing her ever-warm smile, she reminisced on the past few years at 1 Zubir Said Drive, and we revelled in our last opportunity to talk to her in her capacity as Principal of SOTA one last time.
