Devoting an afternoon to the Imagination

Published on Jul 30, 2019

On 28 March, the Year 1 to 3 students enjoyed learning beyond the classroom at the Literature Afternoon! Organised annually by the Faculty of Literature in English, the theme for this year was 'Imaginarium', which refers to a place devoted to the imagination.

The Year 1 students took part in an inter-class drama competition, while Year 2 students were given the opportunity to write poems containing specific literary devices. Year 3 students performed a court dance inspired by Romeo & Juliet and to music by Sergei Prokofiev, and also competed against each other to design masks with given materials. Many students and teachers dressed up as their Favourite Book Character, adding vibrancy to the event as they participated in the various activities. Take a look at the photos for a glimpse of the fun-filled afternoon!
