SOTA is 10!
On 20 July 2018, our school celebrated its 10th Anniversary with a slew of activities for the school community. The celebrations began in the morning with students using their creativity to design and personalise their very own anniversary souvenirs, followed by a school concert.
The school then proceeded to the West Plaza steps to witness the planting of SOTA’s new tree, which signifies the next phase of the school’s growth.
In the evening, President Halimah Yacob and Ms Grace Fu, Minister for Culture, Community and Youth, were invited to a preview of the Arts Trail and a dinner with the SOTA community.
On the following day, 21 July, we were delighted to have public members join us on the Arts Trail. Led by SOTA's Theatre alumni Nur Sabrina Binte Dzulkifli and Chaney Chia, and current Theatre students, Coco Wang and Nicholas Papayoanou, the Arts Trail featured multidisciplinary performances and installations around the school campus. Taking one through level 2 to 9, the Arts Trail incorporates a fusion of traditional and contemporary forms and ideas by students, teachers and alumni of the SOTA community.
