SOTA: School of the Arts Singapore

SOTA Awards 2019

Published on Jul 30, 2019
On 10 and 16 May 2019, SOTA celebrated the achievements of our graduates and students who have excelled in academics, the arts, leadership and service to the community.

It was a heartwarming and intimate ceremony at SOTA's annual Level Awards held on 10 May 2019. The student awardees received their awards from their parents in recognition of their good work and in appreciation of their parents’ support over the years. True to the spontaneity of SOTA students and parents, there were many moments of fun and laughter as parents congratulated their children for doing well and displayed creativity when posing for family photos. The ceremony rounded up with a rousing percussion performance by our Music students.

Most of the award recipients were graduates from the Class of 2018 and it was great seeing them back in school! Dance alumna, Allison Tan delivered her valedictory speech through a recorded video clip as she was unable to attend the ceremony due to her commitment with the Singapore Navy. Despite her absence, she specially arranged a surprise dance performance item with the help of her dance cohort mates as part of her speech. The audience was also treated to performances put up by the Music, Dance and Theatre faculties and a montage produced by the Film students.

Congratulations to all award recipients!
