On 9 December 2017, SOTA organised the Primary 6 Creative Writing Competition for the third year running. The competition was supported by Singapore Press Holdings Foundation (SPHF) and was open to all current Primary 6 students.

The competition concluded on 28 Feb 2018 with more than 1,200 submissions from over 100 primary schools.

On 24 March 2018, 50 finalists of the Primary 6 Creative Writing Competition were invited to the Literary Arts Junior Academy Short Fiction Workshop. The one-day workshop was conducted by Ms Adeline Foo, author of the Diary of Amos Lee series, and Ms Tan Cheng Hung, a teacher from SOTA's Literary Arts Faculty.

We are pleased to announce the Top 3 winners of the competition.

First Place: Wong Xing Le (Nanyang Primary School)
Second Place: Austin Shar Aung Kaung Myint Myat (Farrer Park Primary School)

The three winners were given book vouchers for their winning submissions.
