SOTA Primary 6 Art Competition 2018 Ceremony and Exhibition

In October 2017, SOTA announced the first edition of its annual nation-wide Primary 6 Drawing and Painting Competition. This visual arts competition was open to all creative and budding artists who would be in Primary 6 in 2018.

The competition concluded on 14 January this year with an overwhelming response. From the entries received, 50 Commendation Winners were identified and invited to a Junior Academy workshop at SOTA.

What was extra special about this competition was that all 50 finalists were given the opportunity to showcase their works at the SOTA Gallery! These 12-year-old budding artists had their drawings and paintings displayed in a professional setting that was open to the public. The featured works were selected for their imaginative quality and display of artistic skills, and we were certainly blown away by all of them.

On the evening of 23 March 2018, all finalists and their parents and guests were invited to the exhibition opening and award ceremony at which the finalists were presented with certificates for their participation.
