Mak Xue Wei graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in History from the National University of Singapore and a Postgraduate Diploma in Education (Credit) from the National Institute of Education. With a decade of experience teaching History and Social Studies at a MOE Special Assistance Plan School, she is dedicated to fostering critical thinking and global awareness among her students.
Active in using multimodal resources in her classrooms, Xue Wei is no stranger to analysing films, poetries, and other materials to let students acquire different perspectives towards historical events. She has also spearheaded the Humanities Talent Programme in her previous school, which empowered students through multidisciplinary research, participation in Model United Nations and other student-led activities.
In her free time, Xue Wei enjoys painting abstracts and has commissioned pieces for her friends and family, demonstrating her belief that learning is a lifelong pursuit, even if without formal training.
