Theatre CP

The Theatre CP develops confident, skilled theatre-makers through intensive training in acting, creation, and professional practice. Training is highly practical and collaborative, but strongly rooted in relevant theories and concepts and closely connected to real-world contexts — students will receive comprehensive training in voice, movement, and performance, and develop skills in devising and theatre-making as they sharpen their artistic and career visions.

At the heart of the training is a respect for cultural heritage, a commitment to theatre as a force for societal good, and a value for the uniqueness of the creative individual. The Theatre Career-related Studies (CRS) comprises four interconnected modules:

  • Acting and Performance: focusing on skills training and acting fundamentals
  • Community and industry: examines practical applications of theatre and demystifies the inner workings of professional theatre
  • Form and Creation: combines theory and creative practice to explore how theatre is made, and explore new plays and ideas
  • Rehearsal and Production: offers an immersive professional experience where students get to work in a full-scale theatre production
