Teneral Forms and Tender Feelings features the works of the Year 5 IBDP Visual Arts cohort of 2026. The title represents a tentative exploration of their artistic identities. As they have only just embarked on their artistic journeys, the process of discovering their identity and means of self-expression is still very much in its infancy, with many aspects neither fully solidified or concrete. They are Teneral; the state in which an insect, having emerged from the pupa, is still soft, fragile and still maturing. Tender Feelings; the emotion underlying each of their works is personal and self-reflective. Their works embody them, in all their different stages of taking form.
