The SOTA Arts Curriculum

SOTA offers development in Dance, Film, Literary Arts, Music, Theatre and Visual Arts. By bridging theory and practice, the programme builds fundamental knowledge and skills around arts disciplines while exploring the connection between arts and society on local, regional, and global levels.

Hamlet

When Prince Hamlet’s father suddenly dies, Hamlet’s uncle, Claudius swiftly marries his mother and takes the throne for himself. Hamlet’s father appears to a grieving Hamlet, as a ghost, telling him that he was murdered by his own brother Claudius, and that he wants Hamlet to avenge his death.

This showcase is a testament to the Year 1 and 2 Visual Arts students’ courage to explore, experiment, and embrace the unknown. Each stroke, each coil, each carve is a step towards self discovery, and the culmination of these journeys is what makes “Drawing Out” an annual masterpiece of artistic exploration.
