Amy Khoo

Amy Khoo is a firm believer in lifelong learning and has spent the past two decades as an educator in a range of educational settings. She currently serves as Vice-Principal (Arts) at the School of the Arts Singapore (SOTA), she works closely with the various arts faculties to deliver quality arts and arts-enhanced education.

Prior to joining SOTA, Amy served as a pioneering member of the leadership team at Republic Polytechnic’s (RP) School of Technology for the Arts where she played a key role in the design and implementation of the school’s five diploma programmes. During her seven years at RP, she wore different hats including Programme Chair (Diploma in New Media), Assistant Director (Academic), and Assistant Director (Capability Development) and was responsible for developing both pre-employment and continuing education programmes for learners.

Amy has also served as Senior Assistant Director at the National Environment Agency’s Singapore Environment Institute where she collaborated with experts across the agency to design skills training programmes for officers across NEA’s various divisions, in addition to designing and delivering key leadership development milestone programmes.

She began her career as Current Affairs producer with Channel NewsAsia, where she produced programmes which explored local and regional social, political, business, technology issues. A visual storyteller at heart, Amy is passionate about photography and enjoys capturing moments that reflect the human spirit. With a belief in the power of art to tell impactful stories, she aims to create a learning environment that encourages students to explore their potential.

Amy holds a Bachelor of Communication Studies from Nanyang Technological University and a Master of Social Sciences (International Studies) from the National University of Singapore.
