Ng Bee Sun

Ng Bee Sun earned her Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Economics from the National University of Singapore (NUS) and later completed her Postgraduate Diploma in Education at the National Institute of Education (NIE). She further pursued a master’s degree in Southeast Asian Studies from NUS. In the course of her teaching career, she has been awarded the MOE Scholarship for Management and Leadership in Schools by NIE. Additionally, Bee Sun’s participation in the Design Thinking course at Stanford University has also significantly shaped her approach to social innovation.

Bee Sun taught Combined Humanities (Social Studies & History Elective) at the secondary school level. Her dedication to teaching, commitment to her students’ holistic development, and support for her colleagues earned her the Outstanding Contribution Award (Individual), The Caring Teacher Award, and the National Day Honours (Commendation Medal).

Before joining SOTA, Bee Sun was one of the pioneers in the establishment of an educational institution in Phnom Penh, Cambodia. Her passion for cross-cultural education and dedication to fostering global learning environments drives her impactful work. Outside her career, Bee Sun delights in mountain trekking and travelling. She believes that skills from humanities complement the arts, contributing to a well-rounded education and enhancing our understanding of the world around us.
