Lareina Ng obtained her bachelor’s with honours degree from the University of Singapore, where she majored in English and Literature. She also has a master’s degree in Teaching English to Young Learners with the University of York. She started her teaching career in Anglo-Chinese Junior College where she taught General Paper and Literature. Later, she also taught English and Literature in Pasir Ris Secondary School and City College.
Lareina has done volunteer work in China and has conducted activities with local volunteers to enhance the literacy levels of primary and secondary school children in rural China. In Singapore, she has also facilitated activities for special needs adults for three years.
Her philosophy of teaching is to impart a growth mindset that values effort, resilience and diligence to achieve productivity and learning. Her experience with different types of youths in both the private and public sectors has enriched her teaching.
