Ong Hui Har

Subject Head (Visual Arts)

Ong Hui Har graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Fine Art & History of Art from Goldsmiths College, University of London, awarded under the Public Service Commission Overseas Teaching Scholarship. She has been actively involved in art education and art-making since.

As an educator, Hui Har has diverse experience in teaching and curriculum design and planning, having taught students of various levels and abilities. She has also conducted workshops for a diverse range including educators and various age groups.

Hui Har has continued to sustain her practice as an artist, and exhibited in various solo and group shows. Solo exhibitions include Harry, Lee Kuan Yew and Global City; Home. She was shortlisted as finalist for 2010 Sovereign Asian Art Prize, Hong Kong, as well as 20 Selected Singaporean Artists for 2010 and 2011 Sovereign Asian Art Prize, and for 20 Selected Southeast Asian Runners up, 2012 Sovereign Asian Art Prize. She was also finalist in the 6th International Arte Laguna Prize 2012, Venice, Italy.
