SOTA Year 4 Theatre presents: Rhinoceros by Eugene Ionesco

First performed in 1959, Rhinoceros is a classic absurdist play that serves as commentary about the dangers of conformity. Written as an allegory for the rise of fascism in Europe in World War II, the play still asks the same confronting questions today about the nature of (in)humanity.

SOTA Year 4 Theatre presents: Lord of the Flies

In Nigel Williams’ adaptation of William Golding’s Lord of the Flies, British schoolboys are stranded on a desert island post-plane crash and left to fend for themselves. The play delves into themes of civilisation’s fragility when societal norms vanish and human nature’s capacity for darkness amidst chaos.
