Chin Chee Kin

Chin Chee Kin graduated from the National University of Singapore with a Bachelor of Science (Honours) degree in Mathematics. He also holds a Postgraduate Diploma Education Merit Certificate from the National Institute of Education.

Chee Kin had his teaching experience in St Margaret’s Secondary School, and he moved on to being a mathematics teacher in Raffles Institution, teaching the Express stream and Gifted Education Programme. Wanting to teach students of different abilities led him to continue his teaching in National Junior College and Innova Junior College. In addition, Chee Kin was one of the pioneer teachers to develop the Integrated Programme in National Junior College.

Having a thirst for different mathematics syllabuses led Chee Kin to pursue his teaching career at ACS (International) where the International General Certificate of Secondary Education (IGCSE) and International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma Programme are offered.

While teaching international students there, Chee Kin took on the role as a Theory of Knowledge (TOK) coordinator and Head of Faculty for Mathematics. Chee Kin is qualified to teach and conduct workshops as a leader for IB Higher Level Maths, IB Standard Level Maths and IB TOK. He has helped the International Baccalaureate Organisation to lead workshops in these subjects for new and existing IB teachers in the Asia Pacific Region.

Chee Kin is an accomplished oboist and he has represented Singapore to participate in many international festivals. He sees that his passion in music and mathematics will allow him to associate well with SOTA students. Moreover, his ability to deliver lessons that can cater to different individual needs will be an asset to the school. Chee Kin believes that he can inspire students to see that mathematics is beautiful and useful.
