SOTA

Patsy Koh

Patsy Koh’s heartbeat is for college and career readiness. She finds it personally rewarding to help young people gain clarity about their personhood, advising students on navigating post-secondary pathways and university course options.

Patsy spent the early days of her career in teaching, having graduated with a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in English Literature from the National University of Singapore, and pursued a Postgraduate Diploma in Education from National Institute of Education as well as Master of Arts in Applied Linguistics. Since her transition to career guidance and university counselling in 2008, Patsy has been a member of the International Association of College Admissions Counsellors. She has also been a certified WSG Certified Career Practitioner since 2020.

Patsy’s early days were dedicated to teaching General Paper and Project Work at Hwa Chong Institution, before she set up the HCI Education & Career Guidance Counseling office, and then went on to serve as a full-time college counsellor at Raffles Institution for five years before joining SOTA to help IB students on their career exploration journeys.

For Patsy, the arts and aesthetics have always provided the energy that flows through life. She spent her secondary school days as a Visual Arts GCE O-Level student, was a member of the symphonic band and also the Guitar Club in her secondary school and JC days. Today, in her free time, Patsy loves learning more about essential oils and enjoys yoga.
