Tan Li Si graduated from Nanyang Technological University (NTU) with a bachelor of science degree in Chemistry and Biological Chemistry. She went on to pursue a Postgraduate Diploma in Education (Physical Education) at the National Institute of Education.
Li Si taught Physical Education (PE) at secondary schools, where she also served as Subject Head of Co-Curricular Activities (CCA). She is an experienced PE teacher with a strong background in sports, particularly badminton.
As a former competitive badminton player, Li Si represented both her school and Singapore in various badminton competitions. She has contributed her expertise as the overall teacher-in-charge of badminton, assistant coach, and as a member of the coaching and selection panel for the Singapore Schools Badminton Team.
Beyond her professional and sporting achievements, Li Si has a deep passion for nature and hiking. Her travels have taken her to numerous national parks overseas, where she has hiked mountains and enjoyed bushwalking adventures.
Li Si believes that sports and outdoor experiences provide invaluable opportunities to build character, resilience, and lifelong skills. She is committed to nurturing students to develop their physical abilities and their appreciation for nature and active living.
