Ma Ka Kui holds a Bachelor of Science (Honours) in Physics from Nanyang Technological University, along with a Postgraduate Diploma in Education from the National Institute of Education. He began his teaching career at Tampines Junior College, where he taught GCE A-Level Physics for four years and played an active role as a teacher-in-charge of the school’s badminton club. He later joined Dunman High School, spending two years teaching Singapore-Cambridge GCE A-Level Physics and developing instructional resources to support effective learning.
Passionate about nurturing well-rounded individuals, Ka Kui places strong emphasis on character development and helping students make meaningful connections between physics, society, and everyday life. He sees physics not merely as an academic subject, but as a powerful lens through which students can better understand the world around them. Drawn to SOTA’s distinctive approach to education, he appreciates the school’s commitment to a broad-based and balanced curriculum that supports students in becoming thoughtful, empathetic, and lifelong learners.
