The 2026 Visual Arts cohort presents 2blume, a representation of the delicate and fragile process of growth and emergence. This exhibition is a visual anthology, capturing their shared memories and experiments in their artmaking inscribed onto the diverse array of sculptures, paintings and illustrations made during their IBDP journey.
 
2blume is a play on the words “to bloom”, with “blume” being a German translation of ‘flower’, and the superscripted ‘2’ symbolising the inherent duality of their growth and creative emergence.
 
By navigating the intersection between internal introspection and external expression, the students explore the duality of their existence, much like the growth of the seed into the blooming flower, alike their process of artmaking and artwork creation . This exhibition underscores the intricate layers of identity, culture, and transformation they embody. Through artmaking, they learn to nurture their roots and to allow their ideas to emerge and flourish.
 
The cohort invites viewers to engage with the forms and meanings that define 2blume. Here, their identities become a living garden to fully and vibrantly blume.
