Wendy Siow graduated from the National University of Singapore (NUS) with a Merit Degree in Bachelor of Science, majoring in Mathematics. She went on to pursue a Postgraduate Diploma in Education (Physical Education and Mathematics) at the National Institute of Education (NIE), Singapore.

Wendy has taught Physical Education at secondary schools and junior colleges since 1999. She also taught Mathematics at the secondary level till 2019.

Wendy has a strong passion for sports. She represented her primary school, secondary school and junior college in netball competitions, and was Captain of her Junior College netball team. Wendy represented the Ministry of Education (MOE) in Netball in the Public Service STAR Games during her early years in the teaching service, and also played netball and volleyball at Club level until 2005. With almost 40 years of experience in playing netball, she is a qualified netball coach and is currently playing recreationally with a netball club.

As a sportsperson who loves team sports, Wendy believes that experiential education through sports provides a platform for character-building and improves interpersonal and soft skills that are beyond the classroom teaching, allowing students to be future-ready.
