Lee Siew Tong holds a Bachelor of Science (Honours) degree in Mathematics, with emphasis in both applied Mathematics and Statistics. He obtained his Postgraduate Diploma in Education from the National Institute of Education, Singapore.

With an interest in mathematics education and problem solving, Siew Tong taught in schools with different mathematics syllabi ranging from International General Certificate of Secondary Education (IGCSE), General Certificate of Education (GCE) Advanced level, Advanced Placement (AP) in Calculus AB/BC, Advanced Placement (AP) in Statistics and International Baccalaureate Diploma Program (IBDP) Mathematics SL and HL. He was in charge of training students at various levels for different mathematics contests such as SMO, AMC (American) and AMC (Australian) and WYMIC. As a Teacher Teaching with Technology™ (T³™) instructor, he shares his passion on the use of graphic calculator technology with his colleagues and students readily to enhance both teaching and learning of Mathematics.

Siew Tong was an active member of the English Language Literary, Drama and Debate Society (ELDDS) (Secondary) and Chinese Language Literary, Drama and Debate Society (CLDDS) (Junior College and university) during his schooling days. He likens Mathematics teaching and learning to expressive activities in LDDS where it enables one to express the thoughts of understanding a math concept or math problem solving in a creative yet logical and structured manner.
