Sim Kang Chong holds a Bachelor of Science (Mathematics) degree from the National University of Singapore and a Masters of Arts in Instructional Design and Technology from the National Institute of Education (NIE), Singapore. He has also undergone International Baccalaureate’s specialised training in teaching Mathematics and in guiding students for their Creativity, Activity, Service projects.

Kang Chong began his career in education as an instructional designer developing educational coursework for schools. He lectured Engineering Mathematics at Temasek Polytechnic and assumed the role of Section Head at the Institute of Technical Education (ITE). Kang Chong is also an accredited instructor in the Phi Theta Kappa Leadership Development Studies Programme as well as in Sexuality Education.

Kang Chong has always been passionate about sharing the meaning of Mathematics education with students. A music enthusiast and an Associate Member of the Composers and Authors Society of Singapore (COMPASS), he sees a rich association between Mathematics and Arts. Adopting a fun and value-based approach, he aims to design and facilitate Mathematics learning that inspires students’ artistic visions.
