Leo Xu is an experienced Chinese language and literature teacher who has worked in the education sector for over a decade. He graduated from Capital Normal University (Beijing, China) with a bachelor's degree in Chinese Language and Literature and a Master's in Teaching Chinese to Speakers of Other Languages. Leo has a wealth of experience working in various schools in Singapore, including Serangoon Junior College, Australian International School Singapore, and SJI International. He has taught various Chinese language and literature courses at A-level, IGCSE and IB levels, including H1, H2 Chinese and CLB; IGCSE Chinese as a Frist language; Chinese B, Chinese A Language and Literature, Extended Essay and TOK in Chinese. Leo has also served as an A-level examiner for many years in MOE school and is currently a CIE A-level examiner. In addition to his teaching career, Leo has published two books on Chinese A Language and Literature.

Leo enjoys reading Chinese literature outside the classroom and is also a Chinese culture enthusiast. Working with his colleagues in his previous school, he has organised several immersion trips to China and school activities, including the Chinese New Year celebration and Mother Tongue Fortnight.

Beyond teaching, Leo is particularly interested in Chinese poetry and writing poems. He also likes writing articles and has published some in Lianhe Zaobao.

Leo is dedicated to helping students achieve their Chinese learning goals. He is an enthusiastic and encouraging teacher committed to helping students reach their full potential.
