In 2023, our students were presented with multiple platforms to showcase and perform their works, and learn from accomplished industry practitioners. Check out this article for a snapshot of the initiatives and events they have been a part of.

In 2022, SOTA students had various opportunities to present and perform their artistic works through the school’s collaboration with industry partners and institutions.

Our staff and students took part in an exciting school-wide initiative for the Housing Development Board (HDB)'s nationwide community art project, with the theme "Our HDB, Our Home. Together We Paint Our Future".

We kicked off the year with an exciting collaboration with Art Outreach Singapore for Singapore Art Week 2020. Such collaboration opportunities help provide authentic learning for our students beyond the classroom.

In collaboration with the Urban Redevelopment Authority (URA), some of our Visual Arts students had the opportunity to display their works as part of the 30th anniversary of the URA Conservation Programme.

We are delighted to have renewed the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts (NAFA) on 2 July 2019.

Thank you Ashurst (Singapore) for the continued support of our budding artists! Besides providing the opportunity for our students to display their works in an authentic setting since 2012, Ashurst LLP has also been a supporter of SOTA with their generous donation.

In yet another exciting collaboration with Singapore Night Festival, the SOTA West Plaza area was lit during the week-long festivities from 23 to 30 August 2019!

15 artworks by Year 4 Visual Arts students were showcased at the City Canvas, The URA Centre, in an exhibition titled "Time & Space: Another Place, Another City" from 5 September - 9 October 2019. As part of their curriculum, the students considered the notion of a city based on the theme, "Time & Space".

SOTA's IBCP Visual Arts students and Year 5 IBCP Theatre students had the opportunity to present their artworks and theatre performance at the SARBICA International Symposium on 26 June 2019. Titled "From Oral History Transcripts to Memory Boxes & Theatre", these works were inspired by the life stories of four pioneer generation Singaporeans.
