“Project Indigo” recognised at North West WeCare Award 2021

To help local charity organisation CampusImpact in their mission to empower youths from disadvantaged backgrounds, Year 6 students Joelle Yeo, Megan Yeo, Peniel Ku, and Tay Jing Yun, initiated Project Indigo last year. Their outstanding efforts were recognised with the North West WeCare Award 2021 earlier this year.

Enriching learning through Borderless Learning Units

After the exams, we had a fun-filled Borderless Learning Units (BLU) programme, learning together and bonding with our friends! Activities included Cultural Enrichment Programme, Team Building activities and the Refreshing Traditions programme supported by Temasek Foundation.

Project Imagine by Syncopella

In light of the pandemic, student-led a capella group, Syncopella, initiated Project Imagine. Through their heartfelt rendition of John Lennon's iconic song, they hope to spread positivity during these tough times and to show utmost appreciation towards the frontline healthcare workers.

Touching hearts through arts in a pandemic

When COVID-19 worsened and the nation entered a period of Circuit Breaker, our students and alumni sprang to action to do what they could for people around them. From raising funds for those in need to lifting spirits through music and dance, the many initiatives by our young aspiring artists showed the importance and power of the arts during difficult times.

The Amazing Friends by DysCASia

A team of Year 5 SOTA students have written and illustrated a children's story and video titled "The Amazing Friends" for children aged 4 - 7 to raise awareness and promote acceptance and support for learning difficulties such as Dyslexia and ADHD amongst children.

For their Creativity, Activity and Service (CAS) project, a group of seven Year 6 students, formed Wonder CAS, wonderful initiative created specially for primary school pupils to learn more about different art techniques.

One Hope Fundraising Show

A group of SOTA students came together to organise the One Hope online fundraising concert on 22 May to raise funds for The RICE Company Limited's #ENGAGE2 campaign, which cares for at-risk children and youth to keep them safe and well especially during this COVID-19 period.
