The 2020 school year kicked off with our Borderless Learning Unit (BLU) 1 programme! Through this unique SOTA feature, students are inducted into the curriculum while bonding with friends both old and new.

A group of Year 6 students collaborated with the Harun Ghani Education Fund (HGEF) for this meaningful project, hoping to inspire their participants to discover new avenues of expression for themselves.

The fourth and final edition of BLU this year spanned two weeks in October. During this period, students participated in activities such as kayaking, exploring different elements of Chinese Opera, learning about their MBTI profiles, and visiting the Dairy Farm - amongst a host of other BLU features.

Year 5 students Glenn Paul Jun Jie and Woon Rae had the opportunity to learn about the rich and unique cultures of other countries at the STEP Sunburst Youth Camp!

A group of Year 4 students learnt that art can bridge gaps and form new connections in their Local Service Learning (LSL) project with Association for Persons with Special Needs (APSN)!

While many of our students serve the community in Singapore, some students embarked on overseas community projects to countries such as Cambodia and Thailand. Our students share their reflections from the recent Overseas Service Learning and Global PerspectiveS trips.

In BLU II (27 to 31 May 2019), our students participated in activities such as first aid workshops, coding and robotics workshops, kayak expeditions and learning journeys to farms and museums.

The Year 1 and Year 2 students enjoyed a wonderful evening with their families on 11 April 2019 at Honour Night! Organised by the SOTA FamChamps, Honour Night is a student-initiated project, which aims to strengthen bonding for parents/guardians and their child/ward.

Earlier this year, the school was introduced to the new batch of Leadership Academy (LeAd) students for 2019! LeAd is an elected student leadership body whose purpose is to serve and lead the students to care, love and support a positive SOTA community.

SOTA hosted American actress and artist Lucy Liu in school for a dialogue with our young aspiring Year 2 Theatre students earlier this year! Moderated by our very own Mr Sean Tobin, Head of Theatre, the dialogue delved into Lucy's journey as both an actress and artist and how she got to be where she is today.
