Supplementary Intake Exercise

The 2024 SIE Admission Exercise will NOT take place. There are no other admission exercises for admission in 2025.

2024 Preparation Notes and Checklist

All Applicants

  • The SIE may open subject to available vacancies after the release of the PSLE results
  • Application is only open to Primary 6 pupils studying in a local MOE mainstream school who took the Primary School Leaving Examination (PSLE) in 2024 and is eligible for the Posting Group 3
  • Pupils who have been admitted to a school through the DSA-Sec exercise are not eligible to apply.
  • Application may open for selected art forms only
  • SIE application may open subject to available vacancies and may open for selected art forms only.
  • Download the Art Portfolio Requirements & Checklist HERE
  • Prepare the art portfolio and supporting documents
  • You may apply for ONE (1) art form only.
  • Sign up for a TA Portal account
  • Log in to the TA Portal , and
  • Submit the Indication of Interest. You will be required to upload the art portfolio and supporting documents.
  • You may apply for ONE (1) art form only.

 

*PSLE applicants who already have a TA Portal account and submitted an application via DSA-Sec for June TA, and who would like to submit an Indication of Interest – please inform us via sa@sota.edu.sg. Your previous application will be archived so that you can proceed with a fresh application.

  • The 2024 SIE Admission Exercise will not take place.
  • Applications received during the Indication of Interest period will not be assessed.
  • There are no other admission exercises for admission in 2025.
  • Online Application for SIE via TA Portal will close at 10 am.
  • No further extension of the deadline will be provided.

Shortlisted Applicants only

  • Third day from release of PSLE results – Release of shortlisting outcome via the TA Portal – log in to check.
  • Fourth to Sixth day from release of PSLE results – Audition and selection interview for shortlisted applicants only.
  • Applicants will be informed of their audition schedule. Activities will include:
    • Individual audition or portfolio presentations
    • Panel interview
    • Online Questionnaires

Applicants will be informed of the selection outcome via e-mail. Please note that the School will not release any information explaining why an application is unsuccessful.

Confirmed Offer

  • Submission of Acceptance Form
  • The Acceptance Form is considered as void if there is no written response from the applicant by 10:00 AM (SGT) on the stipulated date.

IMPORTANT: By accepting SOTA’s offer, the applicant will not be posted to another secondary school via the S1 Posting, as their submitted S1 school choices will be made void. For applicants who are eligible to take a Third Language, their Third Language options continue to be valid and will be processed based on their choices. Unsuccessful applicants will be posted to a secondary school based on their submitted school choices under the S1 Posting.

Important points to note:

  1. SIE will open if there is vacancy available on the day of release of PSLE results.
  2. We regret that there will be no rescheduling of audition schedules.
