Leong Ka Wai graduated from the National University of Singapore (NUS) with a degree in Geography and Sociology. She then went on to pursue a Postgraduate Diploma in Education and a Master’s degree in Humanities Education, both at the National Institute of Education (NIE), Singapore.

Ka Wai first started teaching Geography and English Language at her alma mater, Bukit Batok Secondary School, before joining the Ministry of Education (MOE) Headquarters as a Curriculum Resource Development Officer in the Geography Unit. She was responsible for developing secondary level Geography teaching and learning resources for the national curriculum. Prior to joining SOTA, Ka Wai was a Subject Head for Geography.

Beyond the classroom, Ka Wai’s interests range from travelling and sports, to pocket pets care and welfare.
