Alex attained his Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Honours) from Nanyang Technological University and his Postgraduate Diploma in Education from the National Institute of Education (NIE), Singapore.

Alex previously taught Physics at Woodlands Secondary School from 2012 to 2017 to students across all five levels. Over the years, he has mentored students in Science projects and Inter-school Science competitions, and has conducted Applied Learning Programmes (ALP) in Science for the lower secondary level. Alex believes that teaching and learning should be dynamic and fun to engage learners with different learning styles and abilities.

Alex has a strong passion for dance. He has danced and choreographed for numerous competitions, concerts and dance classes and is still active in this pursuit. He is keen to help students relate art and the real-world context to Physics. He hopes to instil values and life skills in his students to help shape creative and responsible individuals.
