Tan Tze Hwee graduated from Nanyang Technological University, Singapore with a Bachelor of Science (Honours) degree in Chemistry and Biological Chemistry and went on to attain her Postgraduate Diploma in Education from National Institute of Education, Singapore.
Tze Hwee started her teaching career at Tampines Junior College, teaching Chemistry at both H1 and H2 level. She was appointed as the H1 Chemistry Coordinator, taking charge of resource management, anchor lecturing and overseeing the progress of students’ learning. She was also part of the Science Enrichment Committee where activities were planned and designed to make Science relatable to daily life. In 2016, she received the Outstanding Contribution Award (Team Category) for her contribution in the Science Enrichment and Potential Development Programmes. Her project ‘Building Academic and Service Leadership Using Science’ also received the TP Staff Sparks Award in 2017.
Tze Hwee was a member of Guitar Ensemble during her Junior College days. She enjoys listening to instrumental music and playing the keyboard during her free time.
