Vanessa Seah graduated from the University of Queensland with a Bachelor of Economics (Honours) and, was on the Dean’s list. She then went on to pursue a Postgraduate Diploma in Education at the National Institute of Education (NIE), Singapore.

Vanessa’s journey as an educator began at Victoria Junior College where she taught Economics and Project Work. In addition to teaching ‘A’ Level Economics, she taught Integrated Humanities to the Year 3 & 4 students of the Victoria Integrated Programme (VIP).

Vanessa previously held positions such as the Head of Character and Citizenship Education and Subject Head of the Helmsman Programme. These leadership roles gave her the opportunity to plan and implement student well-being efforts and overseas student expeditions to build students’ leadership and resilience.

An educator that believes in Social and Emotional Learning, Vanessa had the opportunity to work at Guidance Branch, Ministry of Education. She believes in building a positive school culture that thrives on meaningful relationships. She enjoys connecting with people and learning from their life experiences.

Beyond the classroom, Vanessa enjoys travelling, reading, jogging and floral arrangements.
