3 local artists up for regional prize, 3 local artists up for regional prize SOTA Visual Arts teacher Robert Zhao is among 30 finalists vying for a major regional prize, the Sovereign Asian Art Prize. This is the largest regional award for art, founded in 2003 by the Sovereign Art Foundation. The prize drew a record number of entries this year, with 300 nominated artists from 25 countries. Visual Arts students' works in SYF Art Exhibition 2020, The Singapore Youth Festival (SYF) Art Exhibition is a biannual event that celebrates the artistics talents of our youths in Singapore. Teaching art to underprivileged children, Screen capture: Singapore Press Holdings A group of Year 6 students organised the Artreach Camp, teaching art techniques to underprivileged Malay children. Working in conjunction with the Harun Ghani Education Fund (HGEF), the team's biggest aspiration for the project was for their participants to discover new avenues of expression for themselves. Lim Zeherng delivers artist talk at National Gallery, Lim Zeherng delivers artist talk at National Gallery Photo credit: Lim Zeharn Visual Arts alumnus Lim Zeherng (IBCP, Class of 2017) was invited by the Singapore Youth Festival to give an artist talk about his practice at the National Gallery on 2 August 2018. He shared about his experience in making the artwork, "To Dust We Return", which was created during a collaboration with the Tsao, brother (also a SOTA alumnus) are working as an artist and designer duo.
