3 local artists up for regional prize, 3 local artists up for regional prize SOTA Visual Arts teacher Robert Zhao is among 30 finalists vying for a major regional prize, the Sovereign Asian Art Prize. This is the largest regional award for art, founded in 2003 by the Sovereign Art Foundation. The prize drew a record number of entries this year, with 300 nominated artists from 25 countries. Visual Arts students' works in SYF Art Exhibition 2020, The Singapore Youth Festival (SYF) Art Exhibition is a biannual event that celebrates the artistics talents of our youths in Singapore. While a physical exhibition was impossible this year due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the showcase continued to be held online. The theme for this year was Artist and Technology. Teaching art to underprivileged children

A group of Year 6 students collaborated with the Harun Ghani Education Fund (HGEF) for this meaningful project, hoping to inspire their participants to discover new avenues of expression for themselves.
