(Photo credit: Pangdemonium) Theatre alumna Fiona Lim recently participated in local theatre company Pangdemonium's production, Falling, which was staged at the KC Arts Centre - Home of SRT from 13 May to 5 June 2016. Falling is about a family facing the challenges of raising a child with autism. The play, written by American playwright Deanna Jent, was based on her experience as a mother with an autistic child. Becoming 2016 You are cordially invited to Becoming 2016, the SOTA Dance faculty’s annual triple bill to close the performance season. This year’s programme will showcase a newly commissioned work by Jeffrey Tan, and choreographies by our faculty members Ng Teck Voon and Silvia Yong; and feature students from Year 3 to Year 6. All In! Young Writers Festival 2017 The short stories of three of our Year 1 Literary Arts students, Olivia Liu, Nicole Teng and Rochelle Lee, were published in Snack Fiction Anthology: A Collection of short stories from All In! Young Writers Festival in July this year! They were among the youngest writers to be published in an anthology that contains submissions from students from River Valley High, National University of Singapore and the Singapore American School. Mandai ground-seeding ceremony Year 1 Literary Arts student, Aaliyah Ahmad Firdaus Elliot Abdullah, was selected to present at the ground-seeding event for Mandai Park Holdings on 16 January 2017! To celebrate the rejuvenation of the Mandai precinct, Aaliyah opened the event with a narration of her personal experiences of visiting the Singapore Zoo, Night Safari, River Safari and Jurong Bird Park, and shared her vision for the future of Mandai as a sustainable wildlife

SGH Festive Cheers for a Cause 2017

SGH 'Festive Cheers for a Cause' Christmas Bazaar In partnership with the Singapore General Hospital (SGH), 14 of our Visual Arts students repurposed Christmas decorations for the SGH 'Festive Cheers for a Cause' Christmas Bazaar at Raffles City on 18 and 19 November 2017. The sales proceeds went towards supporting the SGH needy patients fund. The students, who make up Operation Decoration CAS, contributed 350 of the 630 beautifully handmade Christmas decorations in the bazaar
